03Marketing Rule scan
What would an examiner flag on your website?
Enter your website. We read up to 8 pages and flag wording to review, with a fix for each.
Your own firm's site only. A flag is a prompt to look, not a violation. No flags does not mean compliant. Not legal advice.
Scan reportPattern checks
Your report appears here. A scan takes 10 to 40 seconds.
What it checks, and what it cannot see
- Testimonials and endorsements (206(4)-1(b)): client praise needs disclosures.
- Ratings and awards (206(4)-1(c)): need date, period, rater and any payment.
- Performance (206(4)-1(d)): returns, gross without net, missing 1, 5 and 10 year periods, hypothetical results, SEC-approval wording.
- General (206(4)-1(a)): guarantees, no-risk claims, superlatives, specific picks, benefit claims without risk wording.
It reads page text only. It does not see content drawn by scripts, images, videos, PDFs, social media or emails, and it does not decide what counts as an "advertisement". It uses phrase patterns, so it misses some wording and flags some harmless text.
