How we check the rules

We read the regulation text on eCFR for 17 CFR Parts 248 and 275 and the SEC's adopting release for the Reg S-P amendments. Each rule on a tool shows its status: "Regulation text" means we read it there on the date shown, and "Assumption" means the text did not address the point. When the SEC changes a rule, the tools can be out of date until we update them. Tell us if you see a problem.
